Get Carter
CrimeThriller112 min
London hood Jack Carter returns to Newcastle for his brother’s funeral, then starts digging when the police call the death a suicide. Michael Caine is Carter, cold and methodical as he works through his brother’s friends, acquaintances, and the city’s criminal circles, looking for who killed him and why. Ian Hendry and Britt Ekland are among the faces Carter meets on his way through a 1970s Newcastle of pubs, betting shops, back-room deals, and seedy business. The revenge story stays close to Carter’s point of view as family ties and underworld loyalties start to overlap.
