So I Married an Axe Murderer

ComedyCrimeRomance93 min

Mike Myers is Charlie MacKenzie, a San Francisco poet whose run of disastrous relationships has left him wary of commitment. Then he falls for butcher Harriet Michaels, and Nancy Travis gives Charlie a rare reason to imagine marriage might work. The problem arrives with Charlie’s tabloid-fixated parents, who become convinced Harriet is the elusive “Mrs. X,” linked to a string of honeymoon murders. As romance curdles into suspicion, the film mixes serial-killer paranoia, screwball courtship, and Myers in a second role as Charlie’s loud, opinionated Scottish father.
