We're No Angels

ComedyCrime106 min

Two escaped convicts stumble into a small border town just as everyone mistakes them for priests. With the law close behind, they hide in plain sight at a monastery and plan their run for Canada, but keeping up the act pulls them deeper into the town’s troubles. People come to them for guidance, confession, and help, and the fugitives have to improvise holiness while looking for a way out. As the border crossing gets tighter and suspicion grows, their disguise turns from a joke into a trap. Robert De Niro and Sean Penn play the pair at the center of the mix-up.
