Christopher Lambert is a Vegas actor deep in debt to the mob, and his latest plan to marry a wealthy widow for her money is cut short when the gang has a better use for him. A missing heiress to a casino fortune has turned up in France, working as a truckstop waitress, and the mob wants him to charm her, marry her, and hand them control of the inheritance. With Ennio Fantastichini in the orbit of the crooks pushing the scheme forward, the setup turns on crossed motives, false identities, and a romance built under pressure between the casino world of Las Vegas and a very different life in France.
