Gintama

Tomokazu Sugita is Gintoki Sakata, a laid-back swordsman running an odd-jobs business in an Edo-era Japan transformed by alien rule, where skyscrapers, trains, and motorbikes crowd out the old samurai world. With earnest Shinpachi (Daisuke Sakaguchi) and the tough, unpredictable Kagura, voiced by Rie Kugimiya, he takes whatever work comes through the door, from absurd errands to clashes with the Shinsengumi. Between gag-heavy detours, pop-culture parody, and sudden sword fights, Gintoki keeps moving through a city that looks futuristic but still runs on old rivalries, debts, and a stubborn samurai code.
