The Darkest Hour

ActionAdventureHorrorSci-FiThrillerWar89 min

An alien attack tears through Moscow’s power supply, leaving five young people stranded in a city where the lights, phones, and streets turn suddenly dangerous. Emile Hirsch and Olivia Thirlby are among the survivors trying to stay alive and find a way out as the city empties around them. With Max Minghella and Joel Kinnaman in the group, the film keeps its focus on a handful of outsiders moving through hotels, plazas, and battered avenues while the invasion spreads through the infrastructure they depend on. Moscow’s skyline and public spaces give the threat a distinct backdrop, with the danger tied to electricity itself.
