The Trials of Gabriel Fernandez

CrimeDocumentary54 min per episode

In 2013, eight-year-old Gabriel Fernandez dies after months of abuse in Palmdale, California, and the case quickly widens beyond the two adults charged with his murder. This documentary series follows investigators, court proceedings, and interviews with people around Gabriel as it traces how repeated warning signs were missed. Teachers, relatives, sheriff’s deputies, and child welfare workers all become part of the story as the series asks who knew what, when, and why intervention never came in time. As the criminal case moves forward, the focus shifts to the systems meant to protect children and the officials whose actions come under scrutiny.
