That Forsyte Woman

DramaRomance113 min

Soames and Irene Forsyte begin in a marriage of convenience, but theirs is only one strained bond inside a prominent Victorian family where love, status, and property are tightly bound together. Young Jolyon has already scandalized the clan by running off with the maid after his wife’s death, and teenage June falls hard for the artist Phillip Bosinny, setting off another clash between feeling and respectability. Greer Garson and Errol Flynn are among the figures at the center of these entanglements, as the Forsytes’ private attachments keep colliding with the rules of their world.
