Revenge of the Pink Panther

ComedyCrimeMystery104 min

Chief Inspector Jacques Clouseau is presumed dead after a body turns up in his wrecked car, leaving the world — and Herbert Lom’s long-suffering Charles Dreyfus — convinced the famous detective is gone. Peter Sellers is Clouseau, very much alive and quick to exploit the mistake, disappearing from view so he can investigate who arranged the attempt on his life. Directed by Blake Edwards, the film sends the inspector through another round of underworld schemes, police confusion and slapstick set pieces built around Sellers’s off-kilter timing.
