The Loved Ones

CrimeHorror84 min

After he turns down a classmate’s invitation to prom, teenager Brent is pulled into the violent revenge plan she has built around him. Xavier Samuel is Brent, a high schooler abruptly cut off from any normal night out, while Robin McLeavy’s Lola Stone turns rejected affection into a grotesque prom of her own. The Australian film takes suburban teenage rituals—formalwear, corsages, the school dance—and twists them into captivity, humiliation, and escalating menace inside Lola’s carefully staged celebration.
