The Final Girls
ComedyFantasyHorrorMysteryThriller91 min
After an anniversary screening of the 1980s slasher that made her late mother famous, Max is pulled into the movie itself, where the rules are fixed, the camp counselors are doomed, and the killer is never far behind. Taissa Farmiga is Max, a grieving teenager suddenly face to face with her mom’s screen persona; Malin Akerman is the scream queen at the center of Camp Bloodbath. Trapped inside a summer-camp body-count movie with her friends, Max has to navigate slasher logic, horror-movie clichés, and an impossible reunion with the mother she lost.
