After every college turns him down, a directionless high school senior invents one of his own: the South Harmon Institute of Technology, built on a rundown property near his hometown to fool his parents and buy himself some time. Justin Long is the rejected student at the center of the scheme, which starts with a fake acceptance letter and quickly grows into a made-up campus attracting other applicants who were also shut out. What begins as a fraud turns into an improvised school with its own students, rules, and escalating problems once people start showing up and expecting it to be real.
