An unlucky groom is forced to marry a tree before his wedding to neutralize a curse hanging over his love life, but the ritual awakens Shashi, a spirit with unfinished business. Anushka Sharma is the talkative ghost at the center of it all, while Suraj Sharma’s would-be groom becomes the listener for the love story she never got to finish. As a Punjabi wedding keeps moving in the present, Shashi’s memories pull the film into an earlier romance, with Diljit Dosanjh woven into the past she insists on telling.
