The Life of David Gale

CrimeDramaMysteryThriller130 min

Days before his execution in Texas, David Gale (Kevin Spacey), a former professor and outspoken opponent of capital punishment, agrees to one last interview about the murder that put him on death row. Kate Winslet's Bitsey Bloom, a journalist brought in to hear his story, starts pulling at the details as the deadline approaches. Laura Linney is Gale's fellow activist and close associate, whose death sits at the center of the case. Moving between prison conversations, flashbacks, and press attention, the film frames its mystery around a man who built his life around fighting the death penalty and now faces it himself.
