In the old American West, Liz is a survivor on the run from a vengeful preacher who blames her for a crime she didn’t commit. Dakota Fanning’s Liz is a mute woman forced to protect herself in a world shaped by church authority, misogyny, and brutality, while Guy Pearce brings a cold fixity to the preacher stalking her. As he closes in, the story ties Liz’s present danger to a past marked by abuse, religion, and retribution, turning a frontier pursuit into something harsher and more personal.
