Heroes Shed No Tears

The story

In Thailand’s Golden Triangle, the government recruits a team of Chinese mercenaries to capture a powerful drug lord and bring him out alive. Eddy Ko heads the ensemble, with Lam Ching-ying among the fighters sent deep into hostile territory. Once the target is in custody, the mission turns into a retreat under fire as the unit is hunted by the drug lord’s forces and a bitter Thai officer with his own agenda. The jungle setting, shifting alliances, and repeated standoffs keep the focus on a squad being pushed into tighter and tighter corners in one of John Woo’s early features.
