My Name Is Bruce

ComedyFantasyHorror86 min

A small town in Oregon mistakes B-movie legend Bruce Campbell for Ash, his chainsaw-handed hero from the Evil Dead films, and recruits him to stop a monster stalking the locals. Bruce Campbell is a vain, put-upon version of himself, initially treating the whole thing like another low-budget gig until the threat turns out to be a very real, very deadly Chinese god of war. Directed by Campbell, the movie leans into self-parody, splattery creature mayhem, and the gap between a cult screen persona and an actor who suddenly has to face the kind of horror he usually fakes.
