Six Degrees of Separation

ComedyDramaMystery112 min

When a wounded young man turns up claiming to be Sidney Poitier’s son, two Manhattan art dealers bring him home and watch their carefully ordered social world start to shift. Stockard Channing and Donald Sutherland are the affluent couple, while Will Smith is the smooth-talking con artist who maneuvers through upper-class New York on charm, nerve, and a talent for saying exactly what people want to hear. As his story spreads from one apartment and dinner table to the next, class, race, and status sit just beneath the comedy.
