Murder by Death
ComedyCrimeMysteryThriller95 min
Eccentric millionaire Lionel Twain invites the world’s five greatest detectives to his isolated mansion for a dinner party built around a promised murder at midnight — and a $1 million reward for whoever can solve it. Truman Capote’s Twain presides over the evening while Peter Falk, David Niven, Peter Sellers, and James Coco riff on famous sleuths from classic mystery fiction. Around them: a blind butler, a deaf-mute maid, secret passages, false identities, and a house full of traps and distractions. What starts as a formal whodunit keeps twisting into parody, with one stormy night of clues, bickering, and increasingly ridiculous revelations.
