Much Ado About Nothing

ComedyDramaRomance111 min

As Hero and Claudio prepare to marry, their friends plot a courtship of their own: tricking sworn sparring partners Benedick and Beatrice into admitting they’re in love. Emma Thompson and Kenneth Branagh circle each other as the sharp-tongued pair at the center of the scheme, while Denzel Washington’s Don Pedro helps set the matchmaking in motion. At the same time, Don John works to spoil the wedding before it can happen. Branagh’s Shakespeare adaptation keeps the wit front and center, moving from overheard setups and masked celebrations to the darker intrigue gathering around Hero and Claudio.
