A small-boat captain in the Florida Keys is broke and running out of legal ways to stay afloat. When a smooth, dangerous gangster offers easy money to move cargo and people between Cuba and the U.S., the job pulls him into smuggling, gunrunning, and a widening political conflict he can no longer keep at arm’s length. What starts as one desperate deal turns into a trap, with federal pressure on one side and armed criminals on the other. Audie Murphy plays the fisherman at the center of it, while Eddie Albert is the polished operator who keeps raising the stakes. The farther the captain goes, the harder it is to protect his wife, his partner, and his way out.
