After her father’s sudden death, Carrie White is pushed out of her sheltered home life and into a public high school that quickly turns hostile. A humiliating incident turns into a viral bullying scandal, and the fallout spreads far beyond the hallways as classmates, parents, and school staff take sides. While Carrie struggles under her mother Margaret White’s control and the constant pressure of being watched online, something else begins to surface: telekinetic powers she can’t fully understand or contain. As the attention around her grows harsher and more public, every slight and rumor adds to the fear that whatever is happening to Carrie is building toward something the town won’t be able to stop.
