In 1870s San Francisco, a gifted fighter arrives from China and is pulled straight into the city’s brutal Tong wars. Ah Sahm lands in Chinatown looking for his sister, but his skills make him valuable to one of the rival criminal factions, where every street deal, alliance, and insult can turn bloody. As gang leaders battle for control, politicians and police push their own agendas, and anti-Chinese hostility tightens around the neighborhood. Andrew Koji anchors Ah Sahm’s climb through this violent world, where survival means navigating family secrets, shifting loyalties, and fights that spill from back rooms into the city’s power struggle.
