Married to the Mob
ComedyCrimeRomance104 min
After her mob-connected husband is killed, Angela de Marco wants out of the Long Island underworld and tries to start over in New York with her son. Michelle Pfeiffer is Angela, a gangster’s widow whose clean break gets complicated fast when mob boss Tony “The Tiger” Russo takes an interest in her and an undercover FBI agent begins closing in for his own case. Matthew Modine’s federal agent and Dean Stockwell’s flashy Tony pull Angela into a tense triangle, with the mob on one side, the FBI on the other, and her ordinary life stuck in the middle in Jonathan Demme’s 1988 crime comedy.
