Long-married Jeff and Audrey trade barbs over routines, resentment, and the small battles that come with settling into a life together, while engaged pair Adam and Jennifer try to make it to the altar without getting rattled by all the advice and bad examples around them. In the middle is their single friend Russell, who treats dating like a game and keeps tempting the others to second-guess their choices. As the friendships overlap, dinners, double dates, and everyday mishaps turn into arguments about sex, marriage, and whether anyone really knows the rules.
