Animal Farm

AnimationDrama73 min

After the animals of Manor Farm drive out their negligent, drunken owner, they try to build a society of their own around the ideals of Old Major, the prize boar whose speech sparks the uprising. Maurice Denham supplies nearly all the animal voices, while Gordon Heath narrates the farm’s shift from shared revolt to a new hierarchy under the rival pigs Snowball and Napoleon. This 1954 British animated film turns a barnyard rebellion into a political fable, following how hard work, slogans, and promises of equality give way to fear and corruption.
