After scientists in 2073 begin sending A.P.E.X. robot probes back to 1973, a malfunction throws one of the project team into an alternate timeline ravaged by plague. Instead of a controlled test, he finds a ruined world where war-weary survivors are locked in a constant fight with killer robots from the future. Richard Keats is at the center of the story, with Mitchell Cox and Lisa Ann Russell also caught up in the same time-travel crisis. The film builds its sci-fi action around the A.P.E.X. units, a shattered future, and the fallout from trying to tamper with the past.
