The New Pope

Drama58 min per episode

With Pope Pius XIII still hanging over the Vatican, the Church turns to a new pontiff, John Paul III, a polished aristocrat whose rise opens fresh battles inside the Holy See. Cardinals, aides, and rivals circle him, each trying to shape what this papacy will mean and who will hold influence behind the throne. As John Paul III tries to command a divided institution, the presence of Pius refuses to fade, turning succession into a struggle over faith, image, and power. Jude Law and John Malkovich anchor a story of private ambition and public ritual, where every sermon, alliance, and silence can shift the balance in Rome.
