When Brooklyn plumbers Mario and Luigi cross into a parallel world, they find a grim city where President Koopa rules through fear and wants the meteorite Princess Daisy wears around her neck. Daisy has been kidnapped, and the brothers have to navigate a strange, hostile place full of de-evolved henchmen, bizarre technology, and traps they barely understand. As Mario and Luigi push deeper into Koopa’s territory, a simple rescue turns into a fight over the fate of both worlds. Bob Hoskins and John Leguizamo play the brothers as baffled outsiders trying to survive a dystopian kingdom that twists the familiar game premise into live-action sci-fi.
