Pretend It's a City

ComedyDocumentary30 min per episode

Writer and humorist Fran Lebowitz roams New York City in conversation with Martin Scorsese, turning sidewalks, public manners, and city life into subjects for her dry, exact observations. Built around interviews and street-level glimpses of the city, the series stays with Lebowitz as she talks about writing, crowds, culture, and the everyday absurdities she notices everywhere. Scorsese is less an on-camera guide than an amused sparring partner, shaping the show around their back-and-forth and Lebowitz’s distinctly New York way of looking at the world.
