A Quiet Place

DramaHorrorSci-Fi95 min

A family on an isolated farm has learned to live in near-total silence, because any sound can draw the blind creatures stalking the countryside. Emily Blunt and John Krasinski are the parents trying to protect their children as daily routines — meals, play, even a creaking floorboard — turn into risks. With Millicent Simmonds central to the family’s sign-language communication, the film keeps its focus tight on the farmhouse, the cornfields, a pregnancy, and the constant threat just beyond earshot.
