After a comet passes near Earth and wipes out most life, Catherine Mary Stewart and Kelli Maroney are two Valley girls left to navigate a suddenly empty California. Most of the population has been reduced to dust, and some of the few survivors they encounter are mutating into cannibal zombies. A hidden group of scientists adds another threat, while Robert Beltran appears among the scattered people still alive and trying to make sense of what remains. The setup mixes end-of-the-world sci-fi with deadpan Valley-girl banter, neon-bright suburbia, and the uneasy question of whether the people left standing are any safer than the comet's aftermath.
