Ratched

CrimeDramaHorrorMysteryThriller55 min per episode

In 1940s California, Mildred Ratched arrives at a psychiatric hospital and talks her way into a nursing job just as the staff prepare to examine a notorious killer. Behind her crisp uniform and calm manner, she has her own reasons for being there, and she quickly begins bending routines, exploiting patients’ fears, and turning the hospital’s power struggles to her advantage. As grotesque treatments, buried secrets, and personal vendettas pile up, the line between care and cruelty keeps disappearing. Sarah Paulson leads the series as a woman who can seem controlled one moment and dangerously calculating the next, while Cynthia Nixon appears as someone tied to the life Mildred is hiding.
