CrimeDramaThriller58 min per episode

In London, Police Sergeant David Budd is a war veteran with PTSD who now works elite protection detail for the Metropolitan Police. After stopping a suicide bombing attempt, he is assigned to guard Home Secretary Julia Montague, an ambitious politician pushing hard-line security policies he deeply opposes. As Budd stays at her side through public appearances, threats, and rising political tension, the job becomes a strain on his already fragile home life and mental state. Richard Madden and Keeley Hawes lead a story where every warning, order, and split-second decision carries political consequences, and where the danger around Montague keeps raising doubts about who is being protected from whom.
