After a hit squad crashes his quiet retirement, Bruce Willis is Frank Moses, a former CIA black-ops agent suddenly back in the line of fire. To find out who wants him dead, Frank pulls together the people he used to trust: old friend Joe, elegant assassin Victoria, and Marvin (John Malkovich), a deeply paranoid ex-operative who may be the last person to calm things down. Their search for answers sends the team through break-ins, shootouts, and a widening CIA conspiracy that turns Frank’s quiet life into open war.
