Beyond the Black Rainbow

HorrorMysterySci-Fi110 min

In 1983, Elena, a mute young woman with psychic abilities, is held inside the Arboria Institute, a secluded futuristic facility run by Dr. Barry Nyle (Michael J Rogers), whose clinical control gives way to fixation. Eva Bourne's Elena is treated less like a patient than a subject, confined to stark white rooms and watched through a regimen of tests, therapy, and surveillance. As Nyle's mind begins to fray, the story turns inward, moving through psychedelic imagery, retro-futurist design, and a cold, drugged atmosphere where science, repression, and obsession keep tightening around her.
