As Paris prepares to host the World Triathlon Championships on the Seine, marine biologist Sophia learns that a giant shark is moving beneath the river. Bérénice Bejo is Sophia, a scientist still carrying an old loss, who teams with a young environmental activist and the Seine river police commander to stop the threat before the city fills with athletes, officials, and crowds. Directed by Xavier Gens, the film brings the danger into central Paris, using the Seine, its checkpoints, and the pressure of a major international event as the backdrop for a race to contain an attack in plain sight.
