Kiss of the Dragon

ActionAdventureCrimeThriller98 min

Liu Jian arrives in Paris as an elite Chinese police officer expecting to assist in an arrest, but a French detective turns on him and leaves him framed for murder. Jet Li is Jian, slipping through police raids, hotel rooms, and the city’s criminal underworld as he tries to stay ahead of a widening conspiracy. Along the way he finds an uneasy ally in Jessica, a woman forced into prostitution; Bridget Fonda gives the character a wary, street-level presence. Tchéky Karyo’s corrupt inspector controls the evidence, the manhunt, and much of the violence closing in around Jian.
