Unknown Number: The High School Catfish

CrimeDocumentary94 min

After a teenage girl and her boyfriend start getting vulgar, taunting texts from an unknown number, months of harassment turn into a police investigation. In this true-crime documentary, Lauryn Licari and Sophie Weber are among the people at the center of a case involving cyberbullying, stalking, and mounting suspicion inside a high school community, as authorities try to figure out who is sending the messages and why. As the search for the sender widens, the story keeps shifting away from a simple harassment complaint and toward something far more tangled.
