Papillon

ActionAdventureCrimeDrama134 min

Henri “Papillon” Charrière is a Paris safecracker who is wrongly convicted and shipped to the penal colony in French Guiana, where survival depends on alliances as much as nerve. Charlie Hunnam is Papillon, facing hard labor, punishment, and the constant pull of escape; Rami Malek’s Louis Dega, a counterfeiter with money and little protection, becomes his unlikely partner. What begins as a deal — safety in exchange for financial help — turns into a bond shaped by isolation, failed trust, and the brutal routines of prison life.
