Mrs. America

Drama50 min per episode

In 1970s America, the fight to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment seems close to victory until conservative activist Phyllis Schlafly organizes a backlash from the right. As feminist leaders push state by state to lock in support, Schlafly turns hearings, TV appearances, and grassroots campaigns into a national counteroffensive that reframes the amendment as a threat to family life and traditional roles. The series follows both the public battle and the private calculations behind it, showing alliances form, splinter, and harden under pressure. Cate Blanchett leads as Schlafly, with Rose Byrne among the women trying to keep the amendment alive as the political ground shifts beneath them.
