Murder, Mystery and My Family
CrimeDocumentary44 min per episode
Two criminal barristers reopen British murder cases that ended at the gallows, focusing on convictions where the condemned insisted they were innocent. Sasha Wass and Jeremy Dein revisit the original investigation, trial and evidence with help from a living member of the convicted person’s family, along with historians, forensic specialists and other experts. Wass argues for the prosecution while Dein builds the defence, and their submissions go before Judge David Radford, who considers whether the verdict would still stand. The series returns to notorious cases from the UK’s past and asks whether they point to a miscarriage of justice.
