A team of misfit geniuses is recruited to tackle emergencies that ordinary agencies cannot solve. Led by Walter O’Brien, they use their skills in computing, engineering, mathematics, and psychology to track threats, prevent disasters, and unravel crimes before lives are lost. Each case drops them into a new high-stakes problem, from technological failures to security breaches, where brilliance helps but rarely makes the job simple. Their work is grounded by Paige, played by Katharine McPhee, who helps the group connect with the outside world while they struggle with the basic parts of everyday life. As the missions pile up, the pressure of saving strangers starts colliding with the strain inside the team itself.
