A pediatrician who has built a quiet life in the United States returns to his family’s Middle Eastern homeland for a wedding and steps back into the orbit he tried to escape. His father rules the country, his volatile brother expects loyalty, and old rivalries inside the palace are tied to unrest in the streets. What begins as a brief visit turns into a struggle over family duty, political power, and the violence used to hold both together. As protests grow and foreign pressure closes in, Barry is pulled between protecting his wife and children and taking a side in a regime built on fear.
