In the city of Elmore, 12-year-old blue cat Gumball Watterson and his adoptive goldfish brother Darwin turn ordinary school days into one bad idea after another. A small problem at home or in class quickly spirals as they chase shortcuts, start feuds, or try to impress the people around them. Their schemes pull in the rest of the Watterson family too: sharp younger sister Anais, overworked mother Nicole, and wildly unreliable father Richard. Each episode drops them into a different mess around town, where classmates, neighbors, and strangers all run on the same offbeat logic and the simplest plan can collapse into chaos.
