Party Down

ComedyDrama28 min per episode

A group of struggling actors, writers, and Hollywood hangers-on work for the Los Angeles catering outfit Party Down, serving drinks and passing hors d’oeuvres while waiting for the break that still hasn’t come. Adam Scott is among the staff, with Lizzy Caplan and Ken Marino filling out a crew of frustrated dreamers, blowhards, and barely functional professionals. One awkward event after another puts them in the orbit of rich clients, industry types, and public meltdowns, while the job keeps exposing their stalled ambitions, petty grudges, and the gap between who they are and who they still think they might become.
