Flight of the Conchords

Comedy27 min per episode

Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie drift through New York as fictionalized versions of themselves, a two-man band from New Zealand chasing gigs, rent money, and some sign that America is paying attention. Their tiny orbit includes Rhys Darby’s Murray, a hopelessly earnest manager whose day job is at the New Zealand Consulate, Kristen Schaal as Mel, their one devoted fan, and Arj Barker’s laid-back friend Dave at the local pawn shop. Between bad dates, worse bookings, and songs that erupt out of ordinary conversations, the series follows their small-scale misadventures as musicians trying to get noticed in a city that mostly has other plans.
