As a brutal winter storm cuts off a small island town in Maine, a stranger walks into the local store and leaves a body behind. He gives his name as Andre Linoge, and once the roads and power are gone, the town has nowhere to send him and no way to escape him. Locked in a jail cell, Linoge seems to know the townspeople’s secrets and uses them to turn neighbor against neighbor. As fear spreads, the island’s constable, played by Tim Daly, tries to hold the community together while Linoge, portrayed by Colm Feore, makes a demand so terrible that surviving the storm becomes only part of the problem.
