The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada

ActionAdventureCrimeDramaMysteryWestern121 min

On the Texas border, a ranch foreman’s friendship with a Mexican cowboy sets the story in motion after the cowboy is found dead and buried with little concern from the authorities. Convinced that his friend deserves better, Pete Perkins takes matters into his own hands. He kidnaps the border patrolman he holds responsible and forces him on a rough trip into Mexico to carry the body back to the village Melquiades Estrada called home. As the men cross harsh country, the journey turns into a reckoning with guilt, lies, and the casual violence that made the killing easy to ignore. Tommy Lee Jones and Barry Pepper are folded into a stark border tale driven by duty and revenge.
