The Rookie

ActionAdventureCrimeDramaFamilyThriller121 min

LAPD detective Nick Pulovski has burned through partners, many of them killed on the job after being pulled into his risky tactics. Clint Eastwood is Nick, a veteran cop chasing a Los Angeles carjacking ring when the department assigns him a new partner: Charlie Sheen's David Ackerman, a younger officer who's nearly as volatile as he is. Their investigation points to a high-end auto theft operation, and the mismatch between old-school instinct and rookie impatience keeps the case off balance. When Nick is kidnapped, the rookie is forced to keep the hunt moving on his own.
